 New IP65 outdoor socketOur client wanted some outdoor power for some external Xmas lights and to be able to wash her car etc in future without having to run extensions to inside the house. After checking the spotlights we found one of the junction boxes had melted due to a slack neutral. We fixed the fault and renewed the junction box and the lights worked fine.  New 17th Edition consumer unitGenr8 were contacted to move a fuse box that was sited above a ceiling that when a fuse blew the ceiling had to be cut open to change the fuse. After surveying the job we decided that the cable supplying the old consumer unit wasn't sufficient so a new 25mm2 3 core SWA was ran from the front of the house to the new consumer unit position. The new consumer unit was sited in the kitchen, all existing cables from the old consumer unit were extended and into the new unit. |  New consumer unitOld 1970's consumer unit changed to a new 18th edition dual RCD consumer unit. Customers old RCD reset switch had snapped so couldn't be repaired as the parts are no longer available. Genr8 were contacted and replaced the consumer unit the same day. |

 Screw through cable tripping RCDGenr8 were called out to solve a tripping RCD fault. After a while 1 cable was identified to be at fault. After cutting a hole in the ceiling we came across this little beauty.  AC isolatorWrong type of isolator fitted by original installer which was causing fuse to blow as it was being overloaded.  Riso fault Aurora InverterWhen a Riso fault appears on an Aurora inverter it means that there is a problem with the solar panels connections on the roof.
